Lessons from Gina

I met Gina at a trade show. I was not meant to be there and was not registered to be there. Nevertheless, a rep invited me to use a small section of his booth. I went on a whim. Sales were slow, and the booth did not connect much with my clothing line, which was much too modest in comparison to his products.

Near the end of the last day, Gina stopped by. We talked and immediately connected on so many levels. She placed an order, and we followed up with an in-person meeting at my showroom. This was not our only in-person meeting, and I was able to help her with the marketing of her line "Grit and Grace."

Our connection was strong. I have a theory that those who are Kintsugi, we somehow find each other, and we connect. All that gold is kind of going through our veins, making us as sisters of some sort.

Now that she moved back to Florida permanently, we reconnected. I can’t wait to collaborate with her more in the near future.

I learned a lot from Gina. Here is just a small list of the golden nuggets.

  1. Gina has a sweet, warm, loving, and calm demeanor. She is the type of person who lives and breathes every technique she employed to help her with her recovery. Her voice is soothing; her movements are dance-like. I learned that sometimes a person embodies the characteristics that they live by and it shows in who they are, through and through.

  2. “Become a person who has more to offer.” Like most resilient thrivers, Gina uses her life experiences to better the lives of others. She told me that she knows she has become a person with more to offer, and ultimately this is the main goal we have in life. How true is that! When we take what broke us and use it to help others, we have purpose. In Gina’s case, aside from her meditation teachings, she also curates clothing with fabrics that help women who went through radiation and have other sensitivities. There are so many ways to be of service, and I found this a beautiful way to embody the person she became.

  3. “I can sit at any table now.” Gina ended our talk by sharing this with me. She said she feels that she can understand people of all socio-economic backgrounds, ethnicities, and those who go through different hardships. She can be a part and have something to give. She said, “I can leave the room, and people can say that there is something special about me, a good energy, and just that I can be of help.” How true. It goes back to Lesson #1, as her glow and energy are very positive and kind. I completely understand what she meant. Sometimes, we don’t need to give time, knowledge, or something concrete. Our energy is also healing and an amazing gift.

I am lucky to have Gina in my life, and I can’t wait to bring her to speak to you via one of my channels. So, stay in touch. In the meantime, if you want to learn more about Gina:
